Meet the people at Ryefield Court

The staff and residents at Ryefield Court are what makes the home feel like a family. Clare and her team of dedicated professionals are committed to enriching the lives of each and every one of our residents.

Madge Wang

My name is Madge Wang. I am the Deputy Manager at Ryefield Court. I joined Ryefield Court in February 2020. I was previously working as the registered manager in another care setting. I started my care career sin 2008 and have gathered many years’ experience in the care management field. My aim is to support the staff team and deliver the best quality care to our lovely residents. I am enjoying working here, it is a lovely company group and I have great teams to work with.

Mere Moceica

As Head of Housekeeping at Ryefield Court, my role is dynamic. Not only am I responsible for the cleanliness and the general upkeep throughout the Home, but ensuring that the residents are satisfied and happy with the provision that we can offer makes my job worthwhile. I enjoy having butterfly talks with the residents and staff and listen to their stories or concerns. Seeing them smile and feeling grateful for the little things done for them is rewarding. But with the current pandemic, my priority has shifted dramatically to ensuring that all protocols and procedures are being regularly updated and followed for the safety of all staff and residents.

Simone McLeod

I am the Events Manager for Ryefield Court. I’ve been working at Ryefield Court for 3 years now. I started as a weekend event assistant and worked my way up to manager as I enjoy the job so much and love spending time with the residents and getting to know them on a personal level. My role is to lead and encourage residents to join in meaningful activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice and dignity which enables them a full and active life as possible. In addition, I have to create stimulating and varied programme and social events, inside and outside of the home, for residents to enjoy. The events team work with each resident to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs to put together an individual social care plan and to evaluate regularly. Part of my responsibility is to engage the local community into the daily lives of residents by initiating contact with local community groups enabling residents to partake/continue with hobbies and interests as desired.

Sarah Noori

I am one of the Receptionists at Ryefield Court. I have been working here since February 2020 and thoroughly enjoy my time here. The job is dynamic and diverse, which I love. It certainly keeps me on my toes! My role here is to ensure the smooth running of the reception area, and making sure that all visitors are welcomed and that I can help them to the very best of my ability. I provide support to the Administrator, Deputy Manager and Care Home Manager and take on varied tasks as needed.

I am also a mum, and having lived in Paris for 5 years I speak fluent French. I spend my spare time studying French with the Alliance Française, and I love to visit museums and exhibitions.

I love working in customer service and aim to give everyone the best possible experience with their time at Ryefield.

Giny Morton

My name is Giny Morton and I am the Hospitality Manager here at Ryefield Court. I have been working here since we opened in 2016. I have the best job of all here in the Bistro, which always has a lovely atmosphere. I get to care for everyone, the residents, their families and all our visitors. To be honest, it’s not like a job, it’s my home and the residents and their families have become my extended family. I have seen quite a few changes over the years and to be honest, things just keep getting better!

June Gilbert

Hello, my name is June Gilbert and have been working at Ryefield Court for 8 months. I love my job caring for people. I know I have done my job when I leave them happy and smiling. I have been caring for 40 years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. In my spare time, I like to go walking with my 2 dogs, and play my music; I love country music. I hope this tells you a little about me.

Kirsty Harragan

My name is Kirsty and I am one of the senior carers here at Ryefield Court. Taking this job was one of the best decisions I have made and while it can be challenging, we have great training and a supportive team. I love caring for our residents and seeing their faces light up when we play music or look at old photos.

My name is Ross Eugene, I am the Maintenance Manager at Ryefield Court. My role after many years in the construction industry is to complete all tasks asked, which include repairs, safety checks and any driving jobs that have to be done. Every morning I come to work and it’s a new challenge but a very rewarding job. I enjoy working here and all the challenges that come with it. It’s an amazing place to work with great helpful staff and wonderful residents which I try to help as much as possible to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

Connecting with the ones you love

Connecting with the ones you love

Whilst we offer a whole host of sociable activities in our homes, we know how important it is to stay in touch with family and friends when visiting isn’t possible. From iPad to a virtual Zoom quiz, we are always looking at new ways our residents can stay in touch with loved ones.

Covid-safe Care Lodge

Safe visiting

2020 was anything but normal, but we’ve taken on the challenges that COVID-19 has thrown at us and developed a new way for loved ones to visit. The Garden Pod is a self-cleaning room which allows residents and their families to meet behind the safety of a glass window, ensuring everyone is protected.

Improving experiences through Technology
