At Ryefield Court, the health and happiness of residents is naturally our number one priority, which is why we try and get as many residents as possible involved in our daily activities. One of these goings-on that happens regularly is a weekly cooking club every Saturday where residents can get really stuck in!Each week, we bake! And we tend to make things that residents used to love or had a passion for making, encouraging new suggestions every week. On Saturday in the cooking club, we decided to make sweet and savoury pastry! It was amazing, and everyone got involved.For the savoury dishes, we had cheese, basil and tomatoes, and for the sweet dishes, we had many different flavours, but the firm favourite was custard! The ladies who took part in the class were so impressed with how well their dishes came out, they all shared them with the other residents in the home. I wonder what we’ll be baking next week…?
