Hollywood Glamour Night
The time between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve is usually quite quiet, but not here at Ryefield Court! We decided to put on a Hollywood Glamour Night last night to give our residents the opportunity to get dressed up in their fanciest attire and celebrate the end of the year in style.

To end 2018 with a bang and start 2019 as we mean to go on, we pulled out all the stops at our Hollywood Glamour Night. On arrival, all guests were offered Champagne, and delicious canapés were being served, and then the entertainment began… we were joined for the evening by a brilliant DJ who played a wide variety of hits we all know and love, and everyone in the room danced the night away.

Ryefield Court Christmas Fair
Yesterday, we held a Christmas Fair here at Ryefield Court. It was our last event before the big day, so we hope you enjoyed it if you came along! With members of the community, staff, residents, friends and family members all getting together for this festive occasion, it really was a great day.

With a wide variety of market stalls, many people took the opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts and crafts, and we also held a raffle and a Christmas jumper competition. Even Father Christmas made an appearance! The choir’s singing set the mood, and mulled wine and mince pies got everyone feeling festive – it was a fun-filled afternoon for all.
Peter Pan Pantomime!
Yesterday, we went on a trip to the Becks Theatre to see the Peter Pan pantomime, starring Ryan Thomas from Coronation Street!

Here at Ryefield Court, we love all things festive, so we thought this was a great way to start our Christmas celebrations, as our residents were taken on a swashbuckling pantomime adventure! The show had magnificent scenery, beautiful costumes, an abundance of comedy and stunning flying sequences, so we think it was the perfect treat for the festive season and outstanding entertainment for our residents here at Ryefield Court.

Wear it pink at our Vintage Afternoon Tea Party
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so we’re doing our bit here at Ryefield Court – that’s why on Friday 19th October from 3pm - 5pm, we’re throwing a Vintage Afternoon Tea Party here in our home, and we’d love for you to join us and wear it pink.

There’ll be tea and cakes at the event, along with some wonderful entertainment, and we really would appreciate your support for this very deserving cause to help fight a disease that touches so many people’s lives. All we’re asking for is a donation of £2 per person, which will go towards helping to make cutting-edge breast cancer research happen; thousands of people across the nation will also be wearing it pink in their communities, schools and workplaces for the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.

Breast Cancer Now has raised over £31.5 million for life-saving research so far, and we want to help them add to this. We’re wearing it pink on 19th October for breast cancer research and a for a future where everyone with breast cancer lives – will you join us? We hope to see you then for what’s sure to be a fun, feelgood afternoon.

Katy is aiming to raise £1,000 for the charity, and we’d really appreciate your help in reaching her target for this fantastic cause. Here’s a few words from Katy:
